B t s | with the new market approaching, I wanted to share some of the BTS of the things I had to prepare for my first one. Making ceramics is more than just making lovely pots, especially because I wanted everything to be handmade or recycled. So I sourced materials from recycling stations, bed sheets to turn into plant dyed table cloths, old books into business cards, brick for stand props etc.. I am learning as I go and my display will probably evolve along the way, but I still aim to try keep things has sustainable and handmade as I can because that’s what I love and I think we can make a lot from not much. 🌞

h a p p y n e w y e a r | it’s been a full year, lots of new things, lots of ceramics, some goals achieved, some not. I am not big on traditional New Year’s resolutions, but I usually like to spend the few first days taking some time to reflect on goals for the new year things I’d really want to see happen for me, and things I’d rather leave behind.
I’ve started this 3 parts ritual around 2 years ago and I think it works wonders for me, it keeps me accountable, but also actively working towards something precise.

First I’ll write down on paper some things, feelings, I don’t want to carry with me to the new year and burn them away in a lovely vessel. Then I’ll go back on my previous year’s vision board, see if the things I put on happened or not and I’ll draw a new one, with different things, things I want to keep doing or things that haven’t happened and I’d like to keep reaching for. And finally I’ll make a signed contract with myself, one or two bigger goals with a deadline, that I keep in my wallet all year round.

Last year’s goals were very ceramic based, and I think they might be too for this one. Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me along my journey 🌞 I am excited for all the new things to come.

h a p p y n e w y e a r | it’s been a full year, lots of new things, lots of ceramics, some goals achieved, some not. I have used some glazes I don’t know on a few pieces, not sure it’s the right time for that but maybe I like to gamble a little. Most of the pieces will come with me to the Christmas markets (you can find the details in my stories highlights) 🌞 so cross your fingers and let’s hope for a good outcome!

The white glaze didn’t seem to have the right consistency and I am pretty sure the stripes won’t be so visible but I still wanted to try it out and see from there. l i n o v e s s e l s | I’ve been wanting to print some business cards lately, so I spent some time designing them but then I thought that printing new things, would be a bit of a waste and also a budget I don’t necessarily have right now. I feel like they often end up in the bin anyways, so I started carving little vessels in lino and I’ll just be printing them on existing paper that I find lying around. I think they look cute 🌞!
